What is 1410SMS? A Platform Overview

A complete, multi-tenant school management platform for schools of every size, holding students, staff, grades, attendance, timetables, fees and online tests in one place.

The staff sign-in page on the demo school's own sub-domain, in the signboard layout: an office photo with a yellow sofa down the left, the school crest, name Demo Group of Schools and motto on a navy signboard at its foot, and on the right a Staff, Students and Parents switch with Staff pressed in above the staff sign-in form — Each school gets its own branded environment on its own sub-domain, with a separate way in for staff, students and parents.

1410SMS is a complete, multi-tenant school management platform for schools of every size. Manage students, staff, academics, finance, and communication, all from one clean, role-based dashboard.

Architecture

Each school gets an isolated environment with its own subdomain (e.g. mumtaazcollege.1410sms.com), separate data, and configurable branding. Four role-based portals each have their own tailored experience:

Portal	What they get
Staff	Records grades and attendance, creates Computer-Based Tests (CBT), and views their personal weekly timetable.
Student	Views grades, attendance history, class & exam timetables, report card, and takes online CBT.
Parent	Views linked children's grades, attendance, fees, and class & exam timetables in real time.

Your school URL

You choose your school's web address during registration. As you type your school name, we suggest a non-hyphenated and a hyphenated option (e.g. "Faz College" → fazcollege or faz-college), and you can type your own, using lowercase letters, numbers and single hyphens only. Availability is checked as you type.

To use a custom address, you will need to configure a custom domain (e.g. portal.yourschool.edu.ng) from Configuration → Custom Domain in the admin sidebar, which is available on the Standard plan and above. 1410SMS reserves the right to revoke or reclaim a slug that breaches our Acceptable Use Policy (see also our Terms).

On the phone

The mobile app carries the three portals a school uses, for staff, students and parents, and a school can be registered from it, its web address included. Staff find their school by name and sign in. The bottom bar is built from what each person's role lets them open, and everything else is under More, grouped into People, Academics, Finance, Communication and School. A parent signs in once and sees every child they have, across every school. A custom domain is set up on the web.
