Attendance Analytics

A school-wide view of attendance, surfacing where absences concentrate and which students need follow-up. Under Attendance → Analytics.

Overview answers what is happening today. This tab answers what has been happening all term, which is why they are two tabs rather than one screen trying to be both.

What it shows

• Overall summary. Total records and the school-wide present, absent, late, and excused counts
• Rate by class. A per-class breakdown ordered by absence rate, so the classes needing attention surface first
• Best attendance. The students with the highest attendance rates
• Needs attention. The students with the lowest attendance rates

Filter the whole view by term and academic session. Rankings only include students with enough recorded days to be meaningful, so a single day's record can't skew the lists. Every rate here counts a Late mark as attendance, matching the per-student statistics on the Attendance page.

Attendance by weekday

A term rate averages the week flat. This one does not: it lays out the rate for each day of the week, first for the school and then per class with the worst attended first, so a Friday that has quietly been losing a class since February is visible as a Friday rather than as a slightly low term figure.

A cell with no register at all is drawn outlined rather than empty, because a day nobody marked is not a day nobody came, and reading one as the other is how a class gets chased over a register the office forgot to take.

Staff punctuality

For schools using staff clock-in: how many of the days each member of staff attended, they arrived before your school's late threshold. The window, the number of working days in it and the threshold being applied are all stated above the figures, and so is the number of staff measured, so a report of the first several dozen is never mistaken for the whole school once it is in a board paper.
