Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 15 June 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what is and isn't allowed on 1410SMS. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. By using the Service you agree to follow this policy and to ensure everyone in your school who uses it does too.
1. Prohibited conduct
You must not use the Service to:
- break any applicable law or regulation, or infringe anyone's rights;
- upload or distribute unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or obscene content;
- impersonate another person, school, or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other tenants' data, or our systems;
- probe, scan, overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service;
- send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or use the messaging tools for anything other than legitimate school communication;
- upload malware or any code intended to harm or interfere with the Service.
2. School names, slugs & content standards
School names, web addresses (slugs), and any text or media you submit must not contain profanity, slurs, sexual content, or other offensive, deceptive, or inappropriate material, and must not impersonate or infringe a third party.
We screen names and slugs at registration and may reject those that breach this standard. We also reserve the right to reclaim, change, suspend, or revoke any slug or subdomain at any time where it breaches this policy, is reserved for platform use, infringes a third party's rights, or is otherwise inappropriate, as set out in our Terms.
3. Responsibility for your users
As a School Administrator you are responsible for the conduct of the staff, students, and parents you give access to, and for the data your school uploads. You must have a lawful basis to process the personal data you enter, including that of minors.
4. Enforcement
Where we believe this policy has been breached we may, at our discretion and with or without notice, remove or disable content, rename or revoke a slug, suspend features, or suspend or terminate the account. Serious or illegal activity may be reported to the relevant authorities.
